Welcome and thank you for visiting the St. John's Military School academic center. Whether you are a parent who has already made a commitment to give your son a quality education, or a visitor who is currently evaluating our school, you will find our academic offerings to be superior to most other institutions. We are a school built on tradition, instilling leadership and small-school values in every student.

Our military school is accredited by North Central Association (NCA), a division of AdvancED, and the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE). Our faculty maintains an exceptional accreditation status and we work closely with the two organizations to ensure the ongoing professional development of all those who teach at St. John’s.

SJMS is small by design, which helps to ensure that faculty and students create a one-on-one relationship which greatly enhances the opportunity to teach and to learn. This environment allows our faculty to know and become familiar with every cadet.  Additionally, each student is assigned a faculty advisor for ongoing advice and consultation.  

Throughout the year, members of the faculty meet regularly with each other to discuss individual cadets, their progress, and identify areas where additional help may be needed.  Many times, a committee of the faculty will meet with individual cadets to discuss their progress and make recommendations that will assist in their academic achievement.  This tailored approach is of great benefit to the cadet's academic success.

Académicos por St. John's

El enfoque y objetivo principal de St. John es proveerle a los hombre jovenes, que vienen a St. John de diversos fondos y que poseen capacidades intelectuales diferentes, una experiencia educativa de calidad.  Es extremadamente importante tener en cuenta que en la historia de St. John, que abarcan mas de 120 años, los cadetes sacan puntaciónes superiores a la media nacional así como el estado de Kansas y los estados vecinos.

Los cadetes de St. John viven en un entorno estructurado y disciplinado comparado a las escuelas públicas  y privadas.  Como un resultado, este entorno permite los educadores con licencia de St. Johns desempeñar un papel mayor en la enseñanza y orientando el crecimiento académico de los cadetes.  Además, cada cadete es asignado un consejero académico que se reunirá periódicamente con el cadete para repasar su progreso y asi determinar si pasos adicionales son necesarios para mejorar su realización.
